Where Intuition, Memory, and Transformation Meet
We are proud to present a new artist book dedicated to the work of Sandy Simha Madar — a publication that unfolds not as a conventional portfolio, but as an intimate journey through an evolving artistic life.
This book invites the reader to step inside the artist’s world rather than observe it from a distance. Through a carefully orchestrated sequence of paintings, pauses, and visual transitions, it reveals a path shaped by intuition, memory, and transformation. Each page forms part of a quiet narrative — one that encourages closeness, reflection, and a deeply personal emotional connection with the work.
More than a collection of images, the book becomes an experience: a slow unfolding of courage, vulnerability, and renewal, mirroring the inner processes that drive Sandy’s practice.

Sandy Simha Madar is a self-taught painter born in Paris, France. Her artistic path emerged not from formal training, but from lived experience and profound personal change. After relocating to Israel in 2012, a gradual inner transformation led her toward painting as a means of understanding herself and the world around her. In 2025, she moved to Madrid, Spain, seeking to deepen her practice and engage with a broader artistic community.
Originally educated in financial mathematics at the University of Paris Dauphine, Sandy followed a conventional professional trajectory until a decisive turning point in 2019 redirected her life toward art. Painting became a space for healing, self-discovery, and reconnection — a language through which emotion could be processed and shared. Through independent study and mentorship with painter Drora Wiezman, she developed a visual vocabulary rooted in resilience, introspection, and emotional intensity. Influenced by artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Georges Mathieu, and Camille Pissarro, her work explores themes of courage, hope, vulnerability, and inner strength. For Sandy, art is not simply expression — it is a vital force that brings meaning, presence, and humanity into everyday life.
Sandy Madar, Artist

Designing this book was an exercise in restraint, rhythm, and listening. Rather than imposing a structure, we allowed the works themselves to dictate the pace — creating a layout that breathes, pauses, and opens space for contemplation.
Our intention was to transform the book into an extension of Sandy’s inner journey: intimate, quiet, and deeply human. The sequencing emphasizes transitions rather than categories, encouraging readers to move through emotional states rather than stylistic periods. White space, scale, and flow were used deliberately to create moments of stillness — places where the viewer can linger and connect.
We approached the publication not as documentation, but as an encounter.

"This book is not just a catalogue of paintings.
It is the accomplishment of many years of questioning, doubt, and effort. Painting has been my salvation, and with all my heart I hope to share, through these works, a glimmer of hope, emotion, and self-reflection. Questioning ourselves is not always something negative; it can also be a way to grow. I put all my energy into this passion, and this book is a trace of that journey."
